JOIN US TO #HACKHUNGER

November 6-17, 2017

There’s no reason anyone should go hungry in two of the nation’s most prosperous counties.  But as many as 1 in 4 people in San Francisco and Marin don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

Let’s make that number zero.

Join us for #HackHunger – a campaign to provide 200,000 meals to help end hunger in San Francisco and Marin.

The tech community coming together

#HackHunger rallies the tech community to help the Food Bank provide fresh, healthy food for  225,000 neighbors who rely on us every year. It’s a two-week, friendly fundraising competition:  Join fellow start-ups, tech, software, hardware, and app developers – the whole tech community – in our mission to end hunger in our community.

IN IT TO DO GOOD

SF-MARIN FOOD BANK

TOGETHER, WE CAN END HUNGER

30,000 families receive fresh groceries at our pantries every week.

43,000 children receive daily morning snacks in school or childcare every year.

29,000 seniors receive food through our programs every month.

Food is more than the difference between an empty plate and a full stomach. Providing food is about alleviating stress, promoting long-lasting health benefits, and creating opportunities for people to focus on goals and dreams. Food makes it possible for kids to learn more in school, for adults to perform better at work, and for seniors to stay healthy and active. Having enough to eat transforms people’s lives.
